Qualcomm's Mobile TV Chip29/05/06 PermalinkQualcomm have announced a Universal Broadcast Modem (UBM) that will enable mobile phones to play mobile TV using technologies such as FLO technology, Digital Video Broadcasting - Handheld (DVB-H) and one-segment Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting - Terrestrial (ISDB-T). The UBM supports the entire UHF band from 470 to 862 MHz, variable channel bandwidths of 5, 6, 7 and 8 MHz and single and multi-frequency networks. Interfaces include TSIF and EBI2.
