WhatColour - Colour Recognizer for your Phone

WhatColour uses your mobile phone's camera to recognise and name colours.

How to Use

Click Start on the main menu and you should see your camera view (you may need to open the camera protector if a slide phone). Then position the yellow viewing square over an object and press the fire/select/ok button (the button in the middle of your direction controls). You should now see an average of the colours and a closest match found in the database. That's it! Try and position the viewing square over an object that's mostly one colour - this way you'll get better results.

Also make sure you take the photo in good light (preferably natural light) because this will give a better match.
